LMHAD is a special organization because we have a team of individuals that actually believe in the betterment of the community and are willing to put in the work to help others.

The Founder/CEO

Kyana J. started Let Me Hold a Dolla because waiting for change wasn’t an option. Seeing the daily struggles of the homeless community sparked a drive to take action now, offering not just basic essentials but real, lasting support. Kyana truly believes in the golden rule : treat others how you would want to be treated.

The Fundraising / Grant Liaison

Sakiya Walker works to secure funding by researching, applying for, and managing grants. This role ensures that the LMHAD has the financial resources necessary to sustain its programs and expand its impact through various funding opportunities.

The Health and Wellness Chair

Amaya Jernigan ensures that the organization is aligned with initiatives that promote the physical and mental well-being of the communities we serve. Her role involves identifying resources and partnerships that provide essential health services, from basic care to wellness programs.

Legal Affairs Chair

Felecia Newman is responsible for managing and maintaining the organization’s legal and compliance documents. She oversees contracts, filings, and ensuring that all legal obligations are met to keep the organization in good standing.

Board Executive Secretary

Taylor Lee The Executive Board Secretary ensures organizational transparency, structure, and accountability. This role maintains official records, documents board decisions, supports governance compliance, and helps keep leadership aligned and informed as Let Me Hold a Dolla grows.

Director of Youth & Family Services

Jospeh Evans oversees all initiatives supporting unhoused children and families. This includes partnerships with schools, mentorship programs, educational support, backpack and supply drives, and resources that help students thrive despite housing instability. His work ensures that children impacted by homelessness are seen, supported, and given real opportunities.
